Overview

This website is an information page. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts, scripts and screenshots come from our own server.

Hosting and access data

The site runs on our own server in Germany and is delivered through the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, the server and Cloudflare process technically necessary connection data (IP address, time, requested page, browser identification) to deliver the page and to protect it from attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and stable operation). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; details at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Server logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest.

Affiliate links

Shop links are affiliate links (Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, AliExpress affiliate programme). Only when you click such a link do you reach the shop, which may set cookies there and record that you came from this website so that a commission can be attributed to us. The shops’ privacy policies apply. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Download request

We hand the installer only to people who confirm their e-mail address and commit to using Muxwright exclusively in a shielded lab. For this we process your e-mail address, the time of the request and of the confirmation, your IP address at confirmation and the wording of your commitment. The confirmation e-mail is sent through Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany). To protect against automated requests the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., see above), which checks technical characteristics of your browser to tell humans from bots; it sets no advertising cookies. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (providing the software at your request) and (f) (record of the lab-only commitment, protection against abuse). We keep the record of your commitment for three years; download links expire after 48 hours. Your address is not passed on.

Update newsletter

In the download form you can optionally tick to be informed by e-mail about new Muxwright versions. The subscription only takes effect once you click the link in the confirmation e-mail (double opt-in). For this we store your e-mail address, the chosen language, the wording of your consent, the time of subscription and your IP address at confirmation. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The e-mails (a few a year, only about new versions and important notices) are sent through Brevo (see above). The address list is kept on our own server in Germany and can only be reached from our internal network.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: via the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by writing to [email protected]. After unsubscribing we will not e-mail you again; we keep the record of your consent and of the unsubscription for three years as evidence (Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR) and delete it afterwards.

The Muxwright software itself runs on your computer and sends no data to us.

Contact by email

If you email us, I process your details only to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR) and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Baden-Württemberg the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
